About Sian

Sian Prior has had seventeen years experience as a journalist, producer and presenter across radio, television, multimedia and print, specialising in reporting on the arts and popular culture. She has been a newspaper columnist, opinion writer, theatre critic and book reviewer.

Sian also works as a professional event host, curator and public speaker.

She has a second career as a musician and recording artist (singer, clarinettist and choral conductor), and a producer of concerts in venues ranging from jazz clubs and concert halls through to building sites.

Sian is also a professional editor and media consultant, and a lecturer at secondary and tertiary educational institutions.

In her spare time, she is an active board member of several community and arts organisations, and a published short fiction writer.
